HERBAL DYED COTTON

Want to live and Dye naturally? (Where else would you find wit like that on a fabric website?)

These are our new vegetable/ herbal dyed fabrics. All the ingrediants used to dye and fix this fabric are derived from plant origins. pomegranite, onion, turmeric, madder, indigo,sea salts, castor oil and many more are used. Many of the plants used have medicinal properties.

The cotton is organically grown

The fabric is GOTS certified which calls for social compliance to fair-trade principals

When washing, take a  extra care, very cool  hand wash is preferable, Use only Ecover in small amounts (No bio or strong detergents) and don't leave in strong sunlight for too long. If eating pancakes watch out for lemon juice which can affect the dyes. Dark colours may bleed a little initially. Cold wash for least effect. In other words the fabrics will begin to change as soon as they are washed. The effect is small if cold washed. Madder is the most effected. As you wash hotter so the distressing becomes more noticable and depending on your tastes - more or less desirable. (I like it but you may not)

I would suggest you test wash at different temperatures.
