FAIRTRADE COTTON shirtweight

Handloom is shirtweightfabric is made in peoples' homes from yarn that has been previously dyed. Because the yarn is dyed (not the finished fabric) the fabric has much more character. It is made from Fairtrade certified cotton.

Prices from £5.95 to £8.95 a metre.

The £8.95 a metre fabrics  are new for 2012 - lots of beautiful matching shades.

The weavers make around 3/5 metres a day and rolls are around 20m. When it has been made it is taken away, washed and ironed. It's dyefast and preshrunk .

Our handlooms are lovely characterful fabrics. They may  have small changes in texture and look, occasional small blemishes and imperfections. Shades may differ slightly from the samples.
