SATEEN

Sateen fabric about 140 wide, made from organic cotton

Thread count of about 220. Nice quality preshrunk, may shrink a small amount lengthways.

 

Sateen weave is usually achieved by having more warp threads showing than weft threads ( rather than even weave)

Why does this make the fabric have a sateen smooth finish??
(I havent really figured that out sorry)
